We offer a wide range of vision correction services and products to suit your individual needs. Below is some information about the services provided at our office:
Eye Examinations: Our doctors provide comprehensive eye examinations for ocular disease as well as prescriptions glasses, contact lenses & low vision devices. YES, we do PEDIATRIC eye examinations for children 6 months old and up.
Medical Eye Care: Dr. Means & Dr. Prince are both certified to treat disease & conditions of the eye. If your eye hurts or is red, if you have an eye injury or vision loss or changes in your vision, we can treat you. If you are diabetic or hypertensive and need a periodic check for retinopathy, we have the training, experience & equipment to help you.
Optical: Our trained Opticians can help you choose the glasses frame and lens package that best fits your needs, style, budget and insurance plan.
Contacts: We have thousands of soft contacts lenses on-site in a variety of sizes and powers for your convenience. Our prices are very competitive, and we can get most special-order soft and gas permeable lenses in a week or less.
Surgical comanagement: Our doctors can appropriately refer and comanage for Cataract Extraction, LASIK and most other procedures. All of your follow-up appointments can be right here in Huntsville.
Ortho-k: We provide Orthokeratology services or "Ortho-k, a non-surgical refractive procedure that involves wearing "retainer" lenses while you sleep. The result is clear vision during the daytime without the aid of daily glasses or contact lens wear. Ortho-k is a great alternative to LASIK in nearsighted prescriptions, and even children can benefit from it. Multiple recent studies indicate that ortho-k may help slow or stop the progression of myopia.
